The US natural gas market continues to grow and become a more mainstream source of energy due to the continued rising price of oil. Many corporations in the US are now setting up their plants and office buildings with natural gas to heat, cool, and power these locations. The greatest barrier for the natural gas power market is the inability to offer natural gas to potential customers that are not on or near a gas pipeline.
Titeflex has developed a high performance hose allowing the transfer of natural gas from cylinder trucks that deliver the fuel to these locations into an Off-Loading Station outside the plant. The Off-Loading Station then decompresses, heats, and sends the natural gas into a regulator and the new burner. Titeflex was able to be a major partner in providing gas to customers as if they were on a pipeline. The Virtual Pipeline Hose (R147-16) is the most suitable hose product for the transfer of CNG as it can maintain a 5,500 PSI working pressure while seeing extreme cold temperatures of -100°F. Titeflex Aerospace is pleased to announce plans to enlarge its facility footprint by nearly 47,000 square feet in Laconia, New Hampshire. The expansion will consolidate all OEM production activity onto one site and provide much needed space for expansion and improvements to process flows.
